What should an AI study notebook show before a student asks it anything?

Google’s latest Gemini release notes say study notebooks built from a student’s own course materials are now available on mobile. Between classes, I would open to a small card, not a pile of notebooks: “Biology 201,” the next deadline, the three files it can use, and one syllabus that has not been added yet. Then let the student ask. A polished answer about the wrong class is worse than no answer when they think the assignment was in scope. What would make that first screen clear enough to trust?
