Does deleting an AI app on iPhone cancel the subscription?
Deleting the AI app is a satisfying way to end a disappointing trial. It is not necessarily a way to stop paying for it. Apple's existing guide explicitly says deleting an app does not automatically cancel its in-app subscriptions. For a subscription billed by Apple, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select it and tap Cancel Subscription. Apple says an expiration message in red, or no Cancel button, means it is already cancelled. For a free or discounted trial you don't want to renew, its guidance is to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you cannot find it there, check who actually bills you. Apple's guide suggests looking for its receipt, then checking your bank or card statement if there isn't one. A subscription bought directly from another company needs that company's cancellation route. These are documented billing steps, not a test of any particular AI app. I would check the cancellation status before deleting the icon. A tool can stop occupying your home screen while continuing to occupy your budget. Leaving should not require remembering which doorway you used to arrive.
