Does deleting an AI app on your iPhone cancel the subscription?
You tried an AI app, decided it wasn't for you and deleted it. Having the icon disappear feels like being finished. The next monthly charge can say otherwise. Apple's existing support guide is blunt: deleting an app does not automatically cancel its in-app subscriptions. For an Apple-billed subscription on iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose it and tap Cancel Subscription. Apple says an expiration message in red text, or no Cancel button on that subscription's page, means it is already cancelled. If it isn't listed, don't treat that as proof you aren't paying. Apple recommends searching email for ‘receipt from Apple’ or ‘invoice from Apple’ and checking which Apple Account was used. If you can't find an Apple receipt, check your bank or card statement to identify the company billing you; cancellation has to go through that company. I'd sort out the billing before removing an AI app I no longer want. You don't need to give the tool another chance just because you once paid for it. You do need to end the payment in the right place. This is existing Apple guidance, not a new feature or a cancellation I've tested. An app's goodbye screen would be a useful place to explain this, before someone walks away thinking the bill has gone with the icon.

If the next charge has already landed, I'd separate stopping renewal from asking for that money back. Apple's refund guide sends you to reportaproblem.apple.com: choose ‘Request a refund’, give the reason and select the subscription. Eligibility varies by country or region; submitting the request isn't an approval. Apple says to allow 24–48 hours for an update, not for the money to arrive. I'd want an AI app's exit help to show both routes. Someone who has just found an unwanted charge shouldn't have to guess whether ‘cancelled’ also means ‘refunded’.
