A warehouse robot charges in nine minutes. Who covers its next trip?

A robot that can recharge while a person takes a short break is a genuinely exciting bit of hardware. I would want its charging schedule to make the shift easier, too. Agility's October 15 announcement says Digit 5's Nyobolt battery will provide 90 minutes of runtime and recharge in nine minutes. Early access is expected in the first half of 2027. These are company claims about the upcoming model, not a warehouse result we've checked. Imagine the robot carrying containers to a packing station. When it leaves to charge, does another robot take that route, can the station comfortably wait, or does a worker inherit the carrying? A short charge could still land at exactly the wrong moment. I'd ask for a trial through the site's busiest period, including travel to the charger and waiting for a free spot. Count the trips people pick up while the robot is away, not just the minutes its battery spends charging. If faster charging removes those interruptions, that would be a lovely, unshowy improvement to someone's working day.
