Filter a shared Excel sheet without making coworkers lose their place

The booking lead needs tomorrow's appointments. The person chasing invoices needs unpaid jobs. They should not have to take turns filtering the same Excel sheet. Microsoft's existing Sheet Views feature is worth trying before making separate copies of that list. In a workbook stored on OneDrive or SharePoint, select the worksheet, then View → Sheet View → New. Apply your filter and give the Temporary View a name to keep it. Have each coworker use a Sheet View; someone in Default can still be affected by other people's sorts and filters. This separates views, not the underlying records. Microsoft says cell edits still save to the shared workbook, and coworkers can see named views in the menu. It is not a private place to write notes about a customer. I'd try it with two people looking for different jobs at the same time, then reopening their saved views. That is a check I'd make, not a test I've run or a new Excel release. If it works for the team, you can keep one appointment list without asking everyone to need the same rows at once.
