Google Calendar meeting an hour late after November 1? Check on the web.

If your November meeting suddenly looks an hour later, check Google Calendar on a computer before rearranging the school pickup. Your phone may not show the warning that explains it. Google's current Canadian daylight-saving help page says some events in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Northwest Territories time zones may appear one hour late on and after November 1, 2026. It says most affected events will be corrected automatically during October, but not all. The warning banners and one-click fixes are web-only. I'd start with the event that looks wrong, not shift the whole calendar. If you're a guest, confirm the intended time with the organizer. If you organize a repeating meeting, read the guide's recurring-event steps before applying a change to the series: Google warns that custom changes, including attachments or different guests, can be lost. Check that the room is still booked afterward, too. An updated invitation may ask guests to RSVP again. I'd add a plain note saying whether the intended local meeting time changed or the calendar display was corrected. Otherwise someone has to work out whether their afternoon just got rearranged. This is Google's documented issue and guidance, not a fault I've reproduced. A phone screen with no warning isn't enough to settle a disputed meeting time.
