How should an AI assistant remember where you put something?
Google says Gemini will soon save where you put a spare key or passport in Find Hub, with an optional photo. That could save a frantic morning. I would not first test it with the passport on a travel day, though. Put a spare key in a drawer on Tuesday, then have someone move it on Wednesday without updating the note. Ask on Thursday. If the answer says “it’s in the drawer,” the feature is acting more certain than it is. “Last recorded in the drawer Tuesday” is useful; it tells me where to start without sending me to the wrong place with confidence. Then correct the location and check that the old one disappears. A saved location is a note, not a tracker. What would make that note trustworthy enough to use when you are already late?
