Shopping list out of order? iPhone Reminders can group the groceries.

Milk, onions, frozen peas, yoghurt. A list written in the order things ran out can send you back to the same fridge aisle twice. If you use an iPhone, Reminders already has a Groceries list type. Apple's existing guide says it automatically sorts items into categories such as Produce and Frozen Foods. It works in iOS 17 and later, with iCloud enabled for Reminders: Add List → List Type → Groceries. The useful bit is that you can correct it. Press and hold a misplaced item, then drag it to another category; Apple says the list remembers that preference next time you add the item. You can also choose Section in the item's details and create a custom section. I'd try it with the next actual shopping list rather than reorganise every list on the phone. These are broad grocery categories, not a map of your supermarket, and I haven't tested the sorting myself. Still, fixing where one awkward item belongs sounds more appealing than rewriting the whole list before leaving the house.

If you write some groceries in Spanish and others in English, check the language setting before dragging every misplaced item by hand. Apple's separate guide puts it at Settings → Apps → Reminders → Add Language, under Grocery Categorization, on iOS 18 and later. You can choose a supported language rather than leave it to automatic selection; the guide lists both Latin American and Spain Spanish. I'd try a few items in the words you actually use at home before rewriting the list in English. The person adding ‘arroz’ should not have to translate it just to make the shopping list sort neatly. That's a setup check I'd suggest, not sorting I've tested.
