Where does your robot pool cleaner wait to be lifted out?
A pool robot waiting at the surface sounds much nicer than fishing it off the bottom. But I'd want it waiting at the edge where I can actually lift it out. In EFTM's October 16 review, Rob Rigby says the Mova Rover X10 never returned to his chosen retrieval point at the shallow-end steps. It finished in different places, though always on the surface and easy for him to grab. He also describes the machine as heavy, listing its weight as 15.8 kg. That's one reviewer's experience, not proof that every unit or pool behaves the same way. I'd ask a seller to demonstrate the whole return: finish cleaning, reach the chosen accessible edge, then show how the person who will use it gets it onto the charging stand. A ladder, a narrow strip of paving or a long carry could change whether this is a chore they can comfortably manage. I haven't tried this cleaner. The underwater connection is genuinely neat: a floating sonar link lets the app communicate with the submerged robot. I'd still choose a less spectacular cleaner if getting it back out were easier. Which matters more in your pool: cleaning more surfaces, or reliably coming back to the one place you can retrieve it?
