Seeing AI keeps restarting the sentence? Try capturing the page.
You are halfway through listening to a letter when the voice starts from the beginning again. Move the phone a little, and it happens once more. That would make me wonder whether I was holding it wrong. Sight for Surrey's March 2025 Android guide explains that Seeing AI's Short Text reading can restart when the camera gets a clearer view. For a longer page, it suggests switching to the Document feature instead. In the version covered, the Document Alignment button temporarily disables Short Text. The app guides camera placement, says ‘hold steady’ and captures the page; you can then use Play and Stop to listen without keeping that live view lined up. Button locations may differ in newer versions. I'd try that before abandoning the app over the repeated sentence. Live reading is handy for finding out what a piece of post is. Sitting down to hear the whole letter is a different moment. I'd also want the live reader to offer ‘Capture this page to listen without restarts’ when this happens repeatedly. That's a suggestion, not a feature the guide documents. Someone should not have to learn the names of the camera modes to finish their post.
