What should an AI small-business banking assistant do first?

FF News reports that Starling Bank has introduced an AI assistant aimed at automating small-business banking and helping with fraud. I do not want it deciding who gets paid. Start lower: take the Thursday pile of invoices and turn it into a list of paid, overdue, or waiting on me, with the original invoice beside each line. Then I can send one reminder or spot the weird payment without juggling a spreadsheet, bank tab, and email. If it cannot make that ten-minute check shorter, it has not earned a bigger job.
