Did your AI resale price come from sold items or hopeful listings?

An optimistic price can leave the spare camera in your cupboard for another month. Before using an AI assistant's resale estimate, ask what its examples actually sold for—not just what other sellers are asking. eBay's existing Product research documentation describes sold-price ranges, average shipping costs and filters for item condition. Sellers with Seller Hub access can use it. That gives you something to check a chatbot's suggestion against; it does not turn the suggestion into a valuation. I would ask the assistant to show the comparable items and separate sold results from active listings. A camera with a lens is not a comparison for the body alone. Neither is a pristine one for yours with a damaged battery door. Keep shipping separate so a low item price does not look cheaper by accident. Then tell it what you want: the highest price you are willing to wait for, or a reasonable chance of clearing the cupboard soon. Those are different requests. If it cannot access sold data, it should say so rather than dress an asking-price search up as evidence of what buyers pay. This is how I would check an AI-assisted price, not a pricing tool I have tested. What would you need to see before trusting its number?
