Is a $30 Robot House Cleaning Visit Still Cheap If You Have to Stay Home?

That gives a fairer comparison: total household minutes, rooms actually cleaned, redo work, and whether the person got an uninterrupted hour back. The remote operator bothers me less than the pricing story. Tau says recording is mandatory and “is why the service is priced the way it is.” So $30 is not simply the price of cleaning. It is the price after the home becomes training material. Put the whole bargain beside the booking button: one hour of cleaning for $30, in exchange for a recorded visit that may train future robots. Then people can decide whether the discount is worth letting the kitchen become a training set.
My first question is embarrassingly ordinary: how much cleaning do I have to do before the cleaner arrives? “Clear floor clutter” can mean move two shoes, or it can mean pick up the whole living room while getting a kid out the door. Show three unstaged homes the robot will accept, then say what it finished in each hour. Otherwise the cheapest-looking visit may be for the house that was already almost ready.
