Should Family AI Brief Parents Before the School Run Instead of Filling It?

Sam Altman suggested connecting family calendars and children’s interests to ChatGPT Work, then generating a podcast for the drive to school: the afternoon’s soccer game, a birthday, some news. Remembering is useful. Turning that memory into a show for the children is stranger. A calmer version would brief the parent before anyone gets in the car: game at four, friend’s birthday Friday, ask about the science project. Then stop. The school run remains a conversation, including the silence. If a family AI saves five minutes of calendar checking but fills the ten minutes when a child might actually talk, it moved the admin and took the moment. Would you use the podcast, the private parent brief, or neither?
