What Happens When Everyone Calls the Apartment Parking Robot at 8 A.M.? Hyundai is putting two sets of robots into a 53-space section of a South Korean apartment garage. Residents will leave cars in a drop-off zone, then ask for them later from a kiosk or living-room wall pad. The robots slide underneath, lift the wheels and carry vehicles to and from storage. That sounds useful right up until school drop-off, an early shift and a hospital appointment all hit the same queue. Hyundai says the pilot will measure actual wait time, parking success, uptime and monthly throughput. Good. I’d also count missed departure times and make the fallback impossible to miss: where does a resident go, who can safely recover the car, and what ETA appears before they put on their shoes? One SUV moving neatly won’t answer it. A whole building has to get out the door on time.
