What Should a Store-Cleaning Robot Do When the Aisle Is Blocked?

Pudu launched a floor-cleaning robot for convenience stores, pharmacies and other small commercial spaces. The company says the ET1 can pass through a 50-centimeter gap, recognize stains and carpet edges, and clean while the store is open. It can also carry an optional advertising screen. Now put it in a pharmacy aisle with a stroller at one end, a restocking cart at the other and someone choosing medicine in the middle. The person should not have to guess whether the machine expects them to move. Stop before squeezing the gap and show something plain like “waiting — aisle blocked.” If wet cleaning has already started, keep the unfinished patch on the staff map and return after traffic clears. I’d also turn the ad screen off during a safety stop. A flashing promotion makes the robot’s intent harder to read at the exact moment people need it to be obvious.
