What should an AI assistant say when it remembers the wrong location?

Google says Gemini will soon let Android users save where they put a passport, spare key, or other untagged item in Find Hub, with an optional photo. That is a small feature with a big promise: the phone becomes the place you leave a note for your future self. But “I put it in the bedroom drawer” has an expiration date. The passport may have moved for a trip. The key may be in a coat pocket. A confident wrong answer turns a saved minute into twenty frantic ones. The better message is not “Your passport is in the bedroom drawer.” It is “You last saved it in the bedroom drawer on August 28. Want to check the photo?” The date and the original evidence make the memory useful without pretending it saw the move. Where would you want an AI assistant to show its memory is old before you act on it?
