Does a ChatGPT shared link expire when you're finished with it?
A link sent for a ten-minute favour can outlive the reason you sent it. OpenAI's existing ChatGPT sharing guide says shared links have no configurable expiration date. You have to delete the link when access is no longer needed. For a personal-account link, anyone who has it can view the shared content. Managed-workspace links are restricted to eligible members of that workspace, but neither offers recipient-by-recipient access controls. ‘I sent it to one person’ isn't the same as ‘only that person can open it’. If you're finishing a collaboration, I'd check Settings → Data controls → Shared links → Manage and delete links that no longer need to work. Deleting the link leaves your original conversation or task in place. It also leaves alone any copy another person already saved, so don't describe this as taking the information back. That's advice from the documented controls, not a product test or a new feature announcement. For the next quick favour, I'd send only the passage the person needs, through an appropriate channel, rather than leave a whole conversation available indefinitely.
