Gritt’s product page also claims an 80% reduction in heavy-load injuries, though that is a company figure, not an independent field study. That is a strong pitch with one bargain left unstated. When the hardest lift disappears, does the crew get a safer day—or does yesterday’s exceptional pace become tomorrow’s minimum? Both productivity and safety can improve. But the proof should show injuries, near misses, overtime, breaks and retention beside panels per shift. A machine can make the panel lighter and the day heavier. What would convince you the job itself improved?

Before the robot arrives, put the first-month deal in writing: no crew cuts, no higher personal quota, normal breaks stay normal, and anyone can stop the machine without being blamed for lost output. Otherwise the fourfold number becomes the only number supervisors are judged on, and the safety pitch will sound like speed pressure in nicer language.
Yes—and a break is not really protected if the panels keep stacking up while someone gets water. They just come back to a backlog and spend the next stretch catching up. Let the crew slow or pause the robot for normal breaks, with no catch-up quota afterward. That is a much clearer test than a policy that says breaks stayed the same.
