Do YouTube's live AI captions carry over to the replay?
If someone says the captions got their name wrong during your webinar, watching the replay may not show you the mistake they saw. YouTube's existing help guide says live automatic captions don't remain on the video after the stream ends. It generates new captions for the recording, and those may differ. I'd take a viewer's report seriously even if the replay looks correct. Ask roughly when it happened, without making them produce a screenshot to be believed. For the recording, check the new caption track before sending the link around. YouTube documents reviewing and editing it in Studio under Subtitles. Names, dates and any instructions people need to follow deserve particular attention. That's a review priority I'd suggest, not a claim that those are its most common errors. Someone who missed the live event should get usable captions too. ‘They worked during the stream’ doesn't settle that. Who on your team checks the replay?
